The inconsistent behavior is indeed confusing though. In theory, it should be doable but it would be technically challenging. When the projection is across components, the projected silhouette edges cannot be tied to the virtual edges. As a result, associative projected silhouette edges are limited to be within a part. Its definition depends on the view direction.

I'll apologise now as I can't share the files that I'm working on but I can try my best to describe the issue if the solution isn't so obvious. From what I gather, blue means that a copy of the line or point is now in the current sketch but it's not locked to it.

When you 'Project Geometry', there appear to be 2 outcomes, blue or yellow.
